FOSTER HEART + HOPE

New Name, Same Mission

While the name Foster Love has brought us joy and connection, we felt it was time to evolve and embrace a broader vision. We are excited to announce our new name, Foster Heart and Hope, as we believe it better reflects our mission and the essence of what we do.

1. Heart: At the core of our work is the love and compassion we have for the children and families we serve. By incorporating "Heart" into our name, we emphasize the emotional connection and commitment we have to nurturing and supporting those in need. Our hearts are open to all children, and we strive to create a loving environment where they can thrive.

2. Hope: Hope is a powerful force in the lives of the children and families we support. It represents the possibilities for a brighter future and the belief that change is possible. By including "Hope" in our name, we want to inspire everyone in our community to believe in the potential of every child and the trans formative power of love and support.

3. Broader Impact: As we continue to grow and expand our programs, we want our name to reflect the comprehensive approach we take in fostering not just love, but also resilience, support, and opportunity for children and families. Foster Heart and Hope encapsulates our commitment to providing a holistic environment where every child can feel safe, loved, and hopeful for their future.

4. Community Connection: Our new name also reinforces our desire to build a strong community of support. We believe that by fostering hearts and hope, we can create a network of care that extends beyond our organization and into the lives of everyone we touch.

We are grateful for your continued support as we embark on this new chapter. Together, we will continue to foster love, heart, and hope in the lives of children and families in need. Thank you for being a part of our story!

HEART IN HAND PROGRAM OPPORTUNITIES

Shopping Days are designed to provide children with a loving experience that not only addresses their needs but also boosts their confidence and helps them shine from within.

Shoppings Days are usually held on the third Saturday and fourth Thursday of each month. The shopping experience takes place at Trey’s Boutique, named in honor of Amber and Matt’s oldest son, Trey. This boutique reflects his story and our commitment to fostering love and dignity for all children within the community.

Registration is required. You can find the registration links on Facebook and Instagram as well as on our website under “What We Do” about two weeks prior to the first scheduled shopping event each month. Join us for SHOPPING!

EVENTS

HEART IN HAND PROGRAM OPPORTUNITIES

EVENTS

Throughout the year, we host special events designed to support the children and families we serve during key times.

August

Back to School Party

December

Parents Night Out

Sweets with Santa

In addition, we may offer one-time classes in collaboration with local organizations and businesses.

Our goal is to enhance our services by providing these events alongside our regular programming.

MOBILE STUDIO

Once a quarter we collaborate with Carole’s House of Hope to provide a shopping and art experience in hope’s of breaking down barriers to access.

We are looking to expand these opportunities within our community. If you believe your agency or families would benefit from a mobile experience we’d love to connect with you. Please reach out to Amber at amber@fosterheartandhope.org

Did You Know?

  • On any given day there are nearly 438,000 children and youth in foster care
  • Nearly 110,000 are waiting to be adopted, waiting year after year for their forever home.
  • For children in foster care, the government invests less than 50% of what it actually costs to raise a child
  • Close to 30,000 will age out of foster care every year and have to be self-sufficient at age 18, 19, 20 or 21

It is not surprising then that within four years of aging out:

  • 70% will be on government assistance
  • 50% will be unemployed
  • 50% will experience homelessness
  • 25% will not have completed high school
  • Less than 12% will ever earn their college degree

These statistics are not okay for the average child in care. Let's come together to help them believe in themselves, fight for their future, and help them so they can beat the odds.
